The Raikes School’s mission is to prepare talented students from Nebraska and across the United States to be tomorrow’s technology leaders and innovators. Students gain expertise in computer science and business through an interdisciplinary approach and hands-on learning. One hundred percent of students have a job or are accepted into graduate school prior to graduation.
Nebraska’s business community needs the Raikes School to produce more top-flight graduates. The school currently admits approximately 40 students each year and seeks to grow to 60 students a year. A larger student body will help address a fundamental workforce issue in Nebraska: a need for more technology entrepreneurs and leaders.
FOR THE FUTURE WE’LL BUILD
The Raikes School prepares next-generation problem-solvers. With donor support, the school can become the top undergraduate program of its type in the country and expand its capacity to produce graduates who become Nebraska’s future technology leaders and entrepreneurs.
“In the Raikes School, we believe in learning by doing and that changing the world in the 21st century starts with understanding the intersection of business and computer science. We are giving the leaders of tomorrow the education they need to leverage opportunities, solve challenging problems and bring to market innovative products and services.”

Student Scholarships
Private support is sought to provide room and board scholarships to recruit highly sought-after students. Admitted students typically are from the top 2% of their high school graduating class.
