Gaining Real-World Experience. Like Only Nebraska Can.

The College of Journalism and Mass Communications has a long tradition of success in challenging students to master fundamental skills of research, writing, editing, storytelling and media production. Relentless Focus on Student Access and Success

We live and breathe experiential learning. Our first priority is to support our students through scholarships and our experiential learning labs, including Jacht, Buoy, Heartland, Nebraska News Service, Unlimited Sports, 90.3 KRNU and Nebraska Nightly, as well as internships, global engagement and study abroad, honors and national student competitions.

Enhancing Faculty and Academic Excellence

TOP CAMPAIGN PRIORITIES

Student Experiences

We encourage students to “do from day one” through our extensive experiential learning programs. Through your support, we can help make sure every student can engage in hands-on experiences in and out of the classroom, creating a professional portfolio unique to their strengths, experiences and career aspirations.

Facilities and Technology

As we strive to build new programs and maximize existing ones, we need room to work and grow. Donors can also have a significant impact through gifts to ensure students have access to the latest technology.

Student Scholarships and Fellowships

Making college accessible to more students by addressing unmet student financial needs is a significant priority for the college. Merit-based and need-based scholarships as well as graduate fellowships are key to recruiting and retaining top students.
