The Nebraska Medicine Nursing Development Fund benefits nurses firsthand throughout the health system by providing resources for specialized training, advanced certification and nursing recognition. Every day, Nebraska Medicine nurses apply their knowledge and expertise to provide an unparalleled patient experience. Additionally, this fund elevates Nebraska Medicine’s efforts to recruit and retain the best nurses in Nebraska.
Nebraska Medicine Excellence Fund
The Nebraska Medicine Excellence Fund is available at the discretion of the health system’s chief executive officer. The fund supports Nebraska Medicine’s greatest and most urgent needs. It supports the organization’s commitment to an outstanding patient experience and allows the health system to be nimble and opportunistic.
Distinguished Medical Directorship
The Distinguished Medical Directorship is an initiative to award endowments to unit-based medical directors with Nebraska Medicine. Championed by its chief medical and external affairs officer, these endowments will recognize leaders in the health system who provide important interdisciplinary teaching, mentoring and leadership. These medical directorships will be highly desired and visible leadership roles. These named endowments will be prestigious awards recognizing the expertise and accomplishment of the holders.
