SYSTEMWIDE INITIATIVES
Together, we can ensure that every student has every opportunity to learn, to succeed and to build a rewarding career while we also address critical workforce issues in our state. The Presidential Scholars Program covers the total cost of attendance for Nebraska students who score a perfect 36 on their ACT or an equivalent SAT score of 1570 or above. Nebraska Promise covers undergraduate tuition for students who meet academic qualifications and family income criteria. Such programs make a college education attainable for more students and help keep top talent in Nebraska.
By leveraging the resources of the four campuses of the University of Nebraska and applying the best of what is known about the science and benefits of early childhood intervention, the Buffett Early Childhood Institute serves as a catalyst for change and provides a unified vision for transforming early childhood development.
The Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute addresses one of the most urgent, complex challenges of the 21st century: how to achieve greater food security with less stress on water resources. To meet this mission, DWFI must attract key specialists for innovative research and development, train the next generation of water for food leaders, share the knowledge and research that will save lives and stabilize economies and build strong partnerships.
It takes a lot to build a future, so let’s start the conversation now.
